KC EAST LIONS
For over two decades, the KC East Lions have been dedicated to fostering a positive and enriching athletic experience. Our core values of sportsmanship, self-discipline, and integrity are at the heart of everything we do.
Founded by Larry and Marcie Johnson in 2001, our mission has always been to offer a top-notch, organized sports program specifically for homeschooled students. Since then, we have grown into a vibrant and integral part of the Kansas City metropolitan sports community.

About
The Greater Kansas City Home School Association, also known as the KC East Lions, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit sports association serving the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.
KC East offers athletic programs such as baseball, softball, soccer, football, volleyball, basketball, cross country, and track and field to home-schooled boys and girls and to privately educated students at schools without these sports programs. Over 75 of our student-athletes have received college scholarships in various sports at junior colleges or at the D1, D2, and NAIA levels.
Through special arrangements with the Kansas State High School Athletic Association and its affiliates, the KC East Lions can compete against a wide range of schools. The program’s athletes play against other home school athletic organizations and private and public schools.
